09/09/06
Andrew: I'm leaving today on a train trip around the country right before school starts, so you won't see anything written by me until the 17th of September. I'm not sure if David will be updating, but to make up for my sudden departure here are two new reviews. (Palace BBQ and Tanto)
09/05/06
Andrew: Clover Bakery (or is it called Clover Cakeshop?) is up. This place is amazing, provided you've never experienced a Japanese bakery.
08/31/06
Andrew: Yoshida review is up.
08/25/06
Andrew: Well, you got me. No update today. I have pictures of Classic Burger, but that was from a long time ago and I don't think I would do a fair review if I put one up now. David has been sick for the past few days, so it was really impossible for us to go out to lunch/dinner. Hopefully, he'll be feeling within a few days and we'll get something up.
In the meantime, I'd like to at least mention what the next few weeks will hold for ANDfood. Our old high school is getting back into session, so I think it's only fair that we try and compile a quick list (not a full review) of the lunch options available to Saratoga High kids, as that was the original intent of the website. I'll be heading off to college soon enough (Sep 19th), and I fully intend to continue ANDfood updates; technically that won't benifit most of the current readers, but Palo Alto isn't that far and I should meet up with David from time to time and be able to get some local reviews done. Until then, we'll continue writing reviews--hopefully with more frequency than we've managed this month.
08/24/06
Andrew: Cicero's Pizza is up.
08/23/06
Andrew: Sorry for the lack of updates, but rest assured (Spice Islands Cafe) we're still reviewing restaurants. Expect to see a new review every day for at least the next three days.
08/02/06
Andrew: Miyake is up. Enjoy. Oh yeah. Pie.
07/29/06
Andrew: Finally added some pictures to the Safeway Tips. Also, I've been baking recently and have something to show you. Don't you dare try this at home.
07/23/06
Andrew: Fleur de Cocoa is updated and Happy Hound is finally up. Sorry for the delay. If you're looking for something to battle the hot days, I really have to reccomend Real Ice Cream (link goes to website). We haven't done a review yet, but we've been there quite a few times. They make their own ice cream, but they have lots of crazy Inidan flavors (saffron-pistachio, anyone?) that you need to sample at the very least.
07/19/06
Andrew: David is on vacation in Tahoe, but I put up the Fleur de Cocoa review and Happy Hound will be up later tonight.
07/17/06
Andrew: Dolce Spazio is up, and we've finally switched to the 7-star system. Oh, I think we're going to throw another ANDfood tour-- this time for lunch. My idea is Happy Hound and Fleur de Cocoa (niether is reviewed, but I love them both).
07/14/06
Andrew: The Darda excursion turned into a full-fledged "ANDfood tour" with about 9 participants and was a complete success. Not much to say other than we'll certainly be doing that again soon.
07/13/06
Andrew: Today (Thursday the 13th) we're making a Darda excursion. We'll bring the camera and (finally) get some pictures for you. David and I also thought it would be a good idea to take a bunch of people with us... the idea is that we will drive you there, but you'll have to pay for your own food. Meet in the SHS parking lot just before 6:45pm. It'd be helpful if you told one of us that you wanted to tag along so that we can figure out how many cars we need. Anyone is welcome.
07/06/06
Andrew: The updates are rolling in, so I think I'm doing a decent job. There's actually a bit of order around here and we're moving to the seven star system for food. Explanations and all of that jazz will come soon, but be sure to check out the Rite Aid and Safeway reveiws. I should add some pictures to the Safeway tips and review either Sweet Pea's or Saratoga Bagels tonight. ANDfood is picking up the pace. Who knows? David may even write something!
David: Unlike Andrew, I have a job.
07/05/06
Andrew: So
I was two hours late. Big whoop. Good excuses though: barbequed short
ribs (brined for an hour, dry rubbed and marinated, then smoked for
four hours), barbequed chicken, sausages, three kinds of sauce, and a
summer berry pie with homemade whipped cream. Oh yeah, and a bit of
Gran Marnier.
07/04/06
Andrew: On
a day that was secretly created to celebrate the wonder that is "BBQ,"
I give you a solemn culinary pledge: one new review EVERY DAY FOR THE
REST OF THE WEEK! I know. You're thinking it's too good to be true. But
just you wait.
First update will occur later today.
